The farm belonged to the patriarch of the family, Valter's grandfather. In 1962 Mozart was born in the city of Ouro Fino, and as soon as he could he started helping his father in the coffee plantation, which had 15 thousand coffee trees. The property underwent a major challenge in 1981, where due to a severe frost, 10,000 coffee trees became unproductive causing great damage to the family. Trying to recover from this loss, Mozart's father planted garlic in the now free lands, but he was not successful either. In 1986 Mozart decided to bet his strengths again on the coffee plantation and planted 2,000 trees, which little by little and with great effort were re-establishing order on the property. In 1994 Valter was born, who from an early age already demonstrated that he would maintain the tradition and represent the third generation of family producers, planted over 10,000 coffee trees and today takes care of his plantation, living 100% with coffee income, and taking care of of 13,500 coffee trees.
